Gary Milligan – Atmos Energy Corporation

Gary was transferred to Olathe, Kansas in 1997 by Atmos Energy to manage the Kansas region sales and marketing department of the natural gas utility.  He has held several positions during his 33 year career with Atmos Energy including dealer relations, residential marketing representative, and various supervisory positions.  In his current position, he manages the Kansas sales staff, which is responsible for the growth and retention of customers in the residential, commercial, industrial, and transportation markets in the Kansas region of Atmos Energy.

Gary is a 2003 graduate of the Leadership Lenexa program.  In 2007, Gary was elected as a member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and served in that capacity through 2010.  In 2010, Atmos Energy was recognized by the Lenexa Chamber as their “2010 Company of the Year”.  Gary is currently serving as an ambassador of the Chamber.

Gary is married to Sharon Milligan, who is a 6th grade math teacher at Harmony Middle School in the Blue Valley School District.  They have two adult daughters.  The oldest is married and lives in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with her husband who is working on a PhD in Social Work.  Their youngest daughter is currently completing her final year of Optometry school and is engaged to be married in June, 2012.
