Douglas D. Silvius is an attorney and shareholder in Spradley & Riesmeyer, A Professional Corporation. He and his wife Janice Rodgers live in Lenexa. Doug has two children - Claire, his daughter, is in high school and his son Drew is in college.

Doug was born in Kansas City and has been representing businesses and individuals since his graduation from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Law in 1987 where he was a member of Law Review and the Urban Lawyer.

Admitted to practice in both Kansas and Missouri, his primary areas of practice involve business, commercial and real estate transactions and litigation, bankruptcy and wills and trusts. Doug obtained his undergraduate degree in criminal justice administration at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri. He has held several positions with various Bar Associations, including Chairman of the Ross T. Roberts Inn of Court and the Computer Law Committee of the Kansas City Missouri Bar Association; and Vice-Chair of Missouri Bar Construction Law Committee. Doug is a member of the Missouri Bar, Kansas Bar Association, Kansas Trial Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association. He has been president of a 1,000 member home owners association and has participated in various capacities in the Lenexa Chamber for the past 5 years, including serving as an Ambassador since June 2006.
