Lenexa Chamber Update

Welcome to the Lenexa Chamber of Commerce
2010 Primary Election Candidate Profile Guide!

You, your business, and your employees are directly impacted each day by the decisions made by our elected officials.  To ensure effective and responsible leadership, it is important for each of us to get involved and support the candidates of our choice.

As a service to our member businesses and to the community, the Lenexa Chamber of Commerce has compiled this guide containing information about candidates at the national, state, and local levels for the upcoming 2010 primary elections.

All candidates with a primary race were asked to complete a brief questionnaire.  Because Chamber members may live – and therefore vote – in other communities, we have included races in districts outside of Lenexa.

You may view the profiles of candidates who responded by linking to the listing of races and candidates below, then clicking on the candidate’s name.  Please note that profiles were not requested from candidates in uncontested races or candidates who are not involved in a primary race – our candidate guide will be updated to include those candidates prior to advance voting in the November general election.

Responses are generally published as submitted.  The questionnaire did include limitations on the length of some responses, however, and candidates were informed in advance that if answers exceeded those limitations the Chamber reserved the right to edit.

Not sure which candidates you should review?  You can print a copy of your sample ballot by visiting the Johnson County Election Office website at www.jocoelection.org and clicking on “Voter Lookup” on the left side of the screen.

We hope you find our guide useful as you prepare for these important elections!  Original profile responses are on file in the Chamber offices should you wish to view them.  Please contact Ashley Sherard at asherard@lenexa.org or (913) 888-1414 to set up an appointment or to share feedback regarding the guide.
