Voter Registration
Voter registration closes fourteen (14) days prior to each election. Copies of voter registration forms may be found at www.jocoelection.org or at various registration sites throughout Johnson County, including city halls, public libraries, and the Election Commission office. You may also request a registration packet by mail by calling the Election Commission at (913) 782-3441. To register, simply fill out a registration form and return it by mail or drop it off at a registration site. (Because an original signature is required, completed registration forms may not be faxed.)
Advance Voting
Advance voting generally begins 20 days prior to any election. Anyone may vote in advance - you do not need an excuse to vote early! You may either vote in person at the Election Commission office, 2101 E. Kansas City Road in Olathe, or you may complete an Application for an Advance Voting Ballot (forms may be found at www.jocoelection.org) to have a ballot mailed to you. Completed applications may be returned to the Election Commission by mail, by fax, or in person.
