2007 BUSINESS BLAST WAS A "BLAST"!

Over 400 Lenexa Chamber members and guests attended the 2007 Business Blast and Taste of the Chamber on Tuesday, June 5. The "Blast" expo and business after hours was held in the Chamber's front yard and in the Lenexa Conference Center. The Expo featured over 70 booths filling two gigantic tents. For the first time ever in 2007, an art fair was held in conjunction with the Blast in the Lenexa Conference Center. The fair also featured a wine and cheese tasting hosted by Rimann Liquors.

Eight restaurants were on hand to showcase their signature entrees and desserts in the ever popular "Taste of the Chamber," including Best Regards, Black Dog Coffee House, Blue, Carino's Italian Grill, Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites' Green Mill Restaurant, Hy Vee Lenexa, Moe's Southwest Grill, and Panda Express.

A jazz trio filled the air with Malaga, Caribbean and Latin jazz.. Goose Island and Honkers Ale were on the drink menu, along with Bud Lite and two varieties of wine. Kansas Speedway displayed a pace car and gave away two tickets for the September NASCAR Busch Series Yellow Transportation 300. Other door prizes included $250 cash, a $250 gift card for Hy Vee, and a one-night get-away to Circle S Ranch in Lawrence, Kansas. Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites also gave away a two-night weekend get-away. To top it off, the weather was perfect, with cool breezes and blue sky.
