MEMBER NEWS GREEN INSTALLED AS OVERLAND PARK SOUTH ROTARY CLUB PRESIDENT Leawood, KS -- Cindy Green, Vice President of Political and Community Affairs for the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors (commonly known as KCRAR), was recently installed as president of the Overland Park South Rotary Club. A Club member since 2001, Green’s term as president will run through June 30, 2010. Green has been with KCRAR for two years. A graduate of Ottawa University Kansas City, she is currently a Lenexa City Councilwoman and has been involved in civic and political activities for over twenty years. “Rotary is important to me because it gives me an opportunity to give back to the local community and also international projects,” said Green. Rotary’s philanthropic focus is children and Green said “It is important to provide them food, education and a foundation of providing for themselves as adults. Rotary is only 4 counties away from eradicating polio in the world!” As president, Green’s duties will be to oversee the various committees and board of directors. She also represented the local Club at the International Rotary Club convention in Great Britain last month.
