GOLF COMMUNITY RECEIVES THREE AWARDS FROM KCH&G

Kansas City Homes & Gardens Magazine presented two Gold Awards in the residential community of Cottonwood Canyon. Lenexa Land Holdings, LLC, developers, won for “Best New Community” and B.L. Rieke Custom Homes for “Best Model Home $750,000 to$1 million”.  A Silver Award was received by Starr Homes for “Best Empty Nest”.

These three awards add to the numerous accolades received by Cottonwood Canyon and the surrounding Golf Club of Kansas.

The semi-private Golf Club of Kansas was selected by Golfweek Magazine as the sixth best new private course in America in 2008 and as Travel and Leisure Golf Magazine’s “must play” course in Kansas City. The golf course is built in and around an old quarry redeveloped with the help of a TIF from the City of Lenexa.  With abundant open space, two lakes, over one hundred  feet of elevation change, walking trails, wildlife and the beautiful golf course, the beauty and variety of the area is unsurpassed.
