Deluxe Corporation Celebrates A Century

This year Deluxe Corporation marks a significant milestone – its 100th anniversary. In 1915, W.R. Hotchkiss invented a product that changed banking, the checkbook. With this big idea and plenty of dedication he took out a $300 loan and founded Deluxe Corporation. Many know Deluxe for its strong legacy as a check and printed products company; however, it has grown alongside its customers, providing new solutions and innovations to meet their changing and diverse needs. From the first checkbook to the iconic red check box to today’s e-checks and remote deposit capture, Deluxe has been a strong and trusted partner helping financial institutions grow for 100 years.

Through its experience working with financial institutions, banks and credit unions, Deluxe learned what made small businesses tick. Deluxe’s products and services expanded and evolved from personalized printed products to logo design, web services, email marketing, printed products, apparel and search engine marketing, providing the most innovative marketing solutions to help small business owners thrive and live their passion.

To celebrate its centennial celebration, over this past year Deluxe has chronicled the incredible passion and dedication that goes into being a small business owner with the campaign, the Small Business Revolution. The Small Business Revolution features stories of 100 small businesses from across America, 12 of them told through mini-documentaries and 88 of them told through photo essays. The campaign showcases the passion, expertise and uniqueness of small business owners. The campaign culminates with a 25-minute documentary that captures the history, importance and current state of small business in America. You can follow the companies being highlighted in the Small Business Revolution by visiting smallbusinessrevolution.org and through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
