SHAWNEE MISSION EXPRESS CARE CLINIC TO OFFER BLOOD PRESSURE AND CHOLESTEROL SCREENINGS

MERRIAM, Kan. – Shawnee Mission Express Care Clinic now offers free blood pressure checks and $20 total cholesterol screenings every day. Located within the Hy-Vee at 6655 Martway in Mission, Shawnee Mission Express Care Clinic is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and 3-6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

“In these tough economic times, we’re seeing patients put their health on the back-burner due to cost,” said Gregory Sweat, MD, Medical Director of the Shawnee Mission Physicians Group. “At Express Care Clinic, we’re offering individuals the opportunity to stay informed of their health in a way that is still cost-conscious. Through our partnership with Shawnee Mission Medical Center, should a patient be deemed at risk for high blood pressure or cholesterol, we can directly schedule a follow-up appointment with a primary care provider for further evaluation.”

Shawnee Mission Express Care Clinic is a walk-in health clinic that treats minor illnesses and health concerns for individuals 18 months and older.
