MEMBER NEWS SHAWNEE MISSION EDUCATION FOUNDATION AWARDS $30,491 TO SHAWNEE MISSION TEACHERS With ceremonial checks, balloons and flowers, the Shawnee Mission Education Foundation Cash Caravan surprised 36 educators throughout the district awarding $30,491 in Excellence in Education (E2) grant funds. 2012 awards impact over 5000 Shawnee Mission students and were awarded at 20 of our schools. “E2 grants provide funding for innovative and challenging projects that go above and beyond,” said SMEF Executive Director Linda Roser. “This grant cycle has been outstanding!
