HIGHLY-REPUTABLE COMPANIES JOIN TERRACON TO EXPAND SERVICES AND PRESENCE IN THE SOUTHEAST


Terracon Consultants, Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of three engineering companies—Gallet & Associates, Inc., Aquaterra Engineering and WPC, Inc. Terracon is one of the nation’s largest employee-owned engineering consulting firms with headquarters in Olathe, Kan.

The acquisitions allow the company to further expand its service offerings and geographic presence to clients in the Southeast. With this significant expansion, Terracon now has a total of 35 offices serving the states of North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi, and more than 100 offices nationwide. All three companies will retain their names and employees but will operate as part of Terracon.

Gallet & Associates, Inc.
Gallet is a 20-year-old company headquartered in Birmingham, Ala. They have nearly 150 employees and 13 offices, located in Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia and Mississippi. Gallet practices in geotechnical, environmental and construction materials engineering and testing, along with some facilities services.

Aquaterra Engineering
Aquaterra, with roots back to 1961, is headquartered in Baton Rouge, La. They have more than 100 employees and five offices in five states (Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia and Alabama). Aquaterra practices geotechnical, environmental and construction materials engineering and testing. They also specialize in solid waste and landfill engineering services.

WPC, Inc.
Founded in 1993, WPC has grown to five offices and more than 140 employees. They are headquartered in Charleston, S.C., with offices in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. WPC has built its reputation on providing a full range of geotechnical engineering, construction materials engineering and testing and environmental services.
