WEITZ SPECIAL PROJECTS GROUP COMPLETES TENANT FINISH WORK FOR LAYNE CHRISTENSEN COMPANY
Lenexa, KS – The Weitz Company, general contractors recently completed tenant finish work for Layne Christensen Company, Mission Woods, Kansas. The $2 million project was designed by Rees Masilionis Turley Architecture, Kansas City, Missouri. Work included interior and exterior renovations to an existing office building with the addition of a backup generator and server room. Construction was completed in only 24 weeks and two weeks ahead of the anticipated schedule.
Finishes required matching of existing custom casework, millwork and exterior glazing. Other features included hardwood floors, travertine walls, access flooring and independent cooling systems for server rooms. The building remained fully occupied during the construction.
The Weitz Kansas City area office special projects group was developed to service shorter duration projects with a streamlined, efficient, and cost-effective construction delivery approach. Projects range in size from $20,000 to $2 million.
