MEMBER NEWS GBA ASSOCIATE, HEIDI THUMMEL, RECEIVES NATIONAL AWARD Heidi Thummel, market development manager for George Butler Associates, Inc. will be honored as the 2008 National Young Leader of the Year by the American Public Works Association. Thummel was selected from a field of outstanding young leaders who were nominated by association chapters across the country. She will be recognized for her exceptional committment to the public works profession and the organization. The APWA KC Metro Chapter ceremony takes place on May 21. On August 18th Thummel will be recognized with the national award at the APWA annual convention in New Orleans, LA. Thummel is currently a member of the 2008 Leadership Lenexa class.
