TURNER CONSTRUCTION PROMOTIONS AND SPECIAL ACHEIVEMENTS

Turner Construction Company recently announced the promotion of Lee McSparran to Vice President. McSparran is currently the Chief Estimator and Preconstruction Manager for Turner’s Kansas City Business Unit, responsible for all preconstruction services, including estimating and cost control duties on all preconstruction projects in a five-state region. McSparran has 28 years of experience with Turner Construction in Kansas City, Houston and Chicago. He has worked with clients across the country and has been involved with numerous notable projects, including Kansas Speedway, INVESCO Field at Mile High, Colorado Rapids Stadium, Kansas State University BioSecurity Research Institute, the Overland Park Convention Center and the United Airlines Terminal One at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago. He has also completed preconstruction on nearly 15 projects at the University of Kansas, including the Booth Family Hall of Athletics, Allen Fieldhouse Renovations, Horjesi Family Athletic Center and the new Anderson Family Football Complex. He is currently providing preconstruction services for Schlitterbahn Vacation Village, the New Arrowhead Stadium and Training Facility, as well as several other Turner projects.

Stephanie Smith, Human Resource Generalist, recently earned certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. SPHR Certification is awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute and requires professionals to demonstrate expertise in the core principles of HR practice and the application of those principles.

Will Buchanan, Project Engineer in Turner’s Special Projects Division, recently completed the LEED certification process and is now a LEED Accredited Professional. With this certification, Will has demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles.
