Operating under the umbrella of the Lenexa Chamber, the Lenexa Economic Development Council (EDC) is dedicated to strengthening Lenexa’s economic health by attracting new businesses, supporting the expansion and success of existing local companies, and fostering investment and job creation.

Our LEDC professional staff collaborates with the City of Lenexa, state and regional agencies, and local stakeholders to align business needs with community development goals and to implement programs and strategies that drive sustainable economic growth.

In serving as Lenexa’s “front door” and central hub for business recruitment, retention, and expansion, the LEDC’s work strengthens our community by:

• Facilitating new investment that broadens the tax base, creates jobs, and attracts new customers, clients and visitors, helping hold taxes down and bottom lines up;
• Assisting existing local companies with connections to resources and talent;
• Helping ensure development is strategic, well-managed, and fits the community;
• Advocating for infrastructure, amenities, and services that create a community of choice for employers and workers;
